Easy Baby Food Recipe: 1

Click to play this Smilebox collage

This is one of my favorite baby food recipes for my son - I use organic ingredients and end up making two freezer trays worth for around $6 {such a great value when you consider an organic pouch costs around $1.60/each}. Here is how you do it:

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil
  • Slice the following:
    •    1 large sweet potato (peeled)
    •    2 apples
    •    2 Zucchini (peeled)
  • Coat veggies and fruit with coconut oil
  • Roast for 30 minutes (or until soft) on lined cookie sheet
  • Place roasted fruit/veggies in blender with handful of prunes (and maybe a handful of raw spinach)
  • Add milk or soy milk to desired consistency
  • Pour in freezer trays
Bon appetit!

**I like to throw in a handful of prunes because this helps with constipation issues and it is a natural sweetener. They sell dried prunes in bulk at Costco in the fruit/veggie section.
